South Scottsdale
Taking a closer look at South Scottsdale, we see it borders Arcadia, Tempe, Paradise Valley and the Indian reservation. It is referred to by locals as “Oldtown Scottsdale,” made up of the entertainment district, Scottsdale Fashion Mall and the smaller less developed area of the city which flippers keep targeting. It combines walkable areas with high-rise condo living and single-family home living. It is an area with tons of amenities and centrally located to everything.
This area of town has been built up with the onset of “urbanization,” as people are now moving back to city centers from suburban areas. Residents from North Scottsdale, the East Valley and even Paradise Valley choose to give up their 8000 square foot home in exchange for a 3000 square foot luxury condo. People who want to be in the midst of the action choose to live here, and it has no age limit!
